To access the observatories, take the Observatory Elevator, which climbs directly to the 45th floor, at an elevation of 202 m above ground level, in 55 seconds. In the observatories, visitors can not only enjoy breathtaking views, but also meals in the cafes and restaurants there.

First and third Tuesday of each month
North Observatory:
Second and fourth Monday of each month
* When a regular closing day falls on a public holiday, the observatory will open on the holiday and close the following day.
* Both observatories are closed during the end-of-year and New Year holidays (December 29 - 31 and January 2 - 3), and on building inspection days.

Visitors can enjoy 360-degree panoramic views by walking around the perimeters of both the North and South Observatories. Views of the nearby group of towering skyscrapers to the northeast, in Nishi-Shinjuku, can only be enjoyed from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building. The observatories also offer views of TOKYO SKYTREE (to the northeast), Tokyo Tower (to the southeast) and Mt. Fuji (to the west) on clear days.
