Uradome Beach is one part of the San'in Kaigan Geopark and is a 15km stretch of zigzagging ria coastline near Iwami Town that runs east-to-west from the Kugami Cape in the most northeast side of Tottori Prefecture all the way to Mt. Shichiyama. The rough sight of the cliffs, precipices, caves, and strangely-shaped rocks formed by erosion from the rough waves of the Sea of Japan and snowstorms, contrasts beautifully with the pristine sea water and the gentle shoreline of calm coastal white sands and green pine trees surrounded by the cape. Here, visitors can take in the charms of Uradome Beach by boarding a pleasure boat service that runs tours of the islands. There are also many marine sports available, such as sea kayaking and snorkeling.
