Motonosumi Shrine
©AFLO
The shrine houses the sacred spirits that were split from Taikodani Inari Shrine in Tsuwano as ordered by a God posing as white fox. The God will fulfill wishes for business success, success in fishing, safety on the seas, good match childbearing, warding off evil and bringing in good fortune, wealth and happiness, traffic safety, and academic achievement. The 123 red torii gates that extend from the “Ryugu no Shiofuki” (dragon palace geyser) are impressive. The shrine was selected by CNN as one of the "31 Most Beautiful Places in Japan."
