Chosen as one of the 15 best cherry blossom sceneries in Japan and listed in the book "Places to Visit Before I Die! Sceneries of the World: Japan"(written by Shiho). You can enjoy cherry blossoms in the spring and hydrangeas in the summer. There is also a flower garden called Flower Park Urashima on the Shonai peninsula where Mt. Shiude is situated, and you can see marguerites in full bloom in May.

  • From JR Takuma Station take a community bus to Ohama and transfer to the Shonai Line and travel to the hiking entrance to Mt. Shiude
