Ryozenji Temple, the First Temple of the Shikoku Pilgrimage
The Shikoku Ohenro is a famous pilgrimage connecting 88 sacred temples across the island, spanning an impressive 1,400 kilometers. Established about 1,200 years ago by the revered Buddhist monk Kobo Daishi (Kukai), the journey officially begins at Ryozenji Temple.
