Bizen Osafune Japanese Sword Museum
Bizen Osafune Japanese Sword Museum was established on September 6, 1983, as a museum dedicated to swords. The museum is located at Osafune-cho in Setouchi City, which flourished as the center of sword-making in the Kamakura period and remains a place where quality swords are made. There are 16 swords on display in the first floor exhibit, and 23 swords in the second floor exhibit. In addition, the exhibit also includes accouterments, and information on the sword making process as well as sword polishing process.
