Raikyu-ji Garden
The garden, designated a place of scenic beauty, is in the traditional rock garden style which expresses the natural landscape with stone and sand without using water, and has been a precious place for over 400 years. The garden is full of delicate charm expressing natural scenery such as islands from stones and trees on top of sand and large waves through clipped azaleas. It has been awarded 1 star from Michelin. Around the gardens are samurai residences where samurai lived more than 300 years ago, and you can tour the buildings for a glimpse into life in a bygone era.
