This history museum introduces the history and culture of ancient Izumo and Izumo Taisha Grand Shrine. There is a 1/10 scale model of the main building of Izumo Taisha Grand Shrine, which is said to have boasted a height of 48m during the Heian Period. Visitors may see exhibits of numerous bronze swords (national treasures) excavated from the Kojindani site, a record number of 39 bronze bells excavated from the Kamo-Iwakura site, and the daily life of the people who lived in the Izumo area in ancient times.
