An airport situated in western Shimane, this is a convenient airport for travelling to tourist spots in western Shimane, such as Tsuwano and the Iwami Ginzan Silver Mines. You can see the Japan Heritage Iwami Kagura in all parts of this area. The delicious "Airport Honey," which is harvested on the airport premises, is also popular.
