Tai-meshi (sea bream meals) (Matsuyama Ropeway Shopping District)
When you get hungry after walking up to Matsuyama Castle, head to the Ropeway Shopping District near the entrance to the Castle Lift. In recent years, restaurants serving Tai-meshi, the local delicacy of Ehime, have opened here one after another. You could go so far as to call it the "Tai-meshi District." The shopping district is also home to Sweets Bar LH, a popular store seen on Instagram that offers "tai a la mode" taiyaki. All visitors should definitely check out the food offered along this district.

- There are two types of tai-meshi in Ehime: "Hojo tai-meshi," where the sea bream is mixed with rice, and "Uwajima tai-meshi," where sea bream sashimi is served on top of rice and mixed with an egg soup. Feel free to try both types during your stay.
